The Award to Bienestar was part of The Portland Beavers & Portland Timbers Community Fund (PBPTCF) the almost $30,000 that will be granted to six nonprofit organizations in the greater-Portland area this spring. In partnership with Nike and Spirit Mountain Casino, the PBPTCF Advisory Board selected nonprofits focusing on education, activism with youth and families, childhood obesity and soccer-related projects. Schoolhouse Supplies, ALS, De La Salle North Catholic High School, Bienestar, American Red Cross, and Children’s Cancer Association were the PBPTCF spring grant recipients.
